Mixson Welcomes General Manager and Chef
Mixson Grille is excited to announce the appointment of Robert Teichert as general manager and Owen Gaube as executive chef.
Teichert will bring his proven expertise in club management and hospitality into overseeing club and restaurant operations through Mixson’s recently announced relaunch and beyond. Teichert has been part of the Charleston club community since 2010. Teichert previously served as general manager at I’On Club and The Porch in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Teichert brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Mixson having served as head golf professional and general manager of both public and private club properties throughout the Southeast and Midwest. Teichert’s management style and industry expertise has garnered many prestigious accolades, including “Best New General Manager of the Year.”
“I am thrilled to join the Mixson team and to help reintroduce the club, grille, and market to the Charleston community,” said General Manager Robert Teichert. “The club’s new look, sustainable design, extensive services and wellness amenities are just a small part of the exciting Mixson updates to come.”
Mixson appointments also include Chef Owen Gaube as executive chef for the club and Mixson Grille. Chef Gaube attended Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, and after graduating began working in several Italian restaurants in the city including Trattoria Lucca. Chef Gaube joins the team at Mixson Club after serving as chef at the The Porch and I’On Club in Mount Pleasant. He strongly believes in sourcing local ingredients and elevating flavors to create an unforgettable dining experience.
